1. Introduction

The City Government of Bago — City Information Office (CIO) is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

2. Personal Data Collected

When you submit an official service request through this portal, we collect the following personal and organizational information:

  • Requesting Office / Department Name
  • Full Name of Contact Person
  • Official Phone / Viber Number
  • Social Media / Messenger Profile Details
  • Event Details (Activity Name, Date, Time, Location)
  • Requested Services & Additional Remarks

3. Purpose of Data Processing

Your personal information is collected strictly for official municipal administrative functions, specifically:

  • Evaluating, scheduling, and processing your service request.
  • Contacting you for project coordination, clarification, or site deployment.
  • Logging official event documentations in internal LGU system audit logs.

4. Data Protection & Security Measures

We implement enterprise-grade technical, physical, and administrative security measures to prevent unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, or modification of your data:

  • Database records are secured using database-level Row Level Security (RLS) and encrypted connections (HTTPS/SSL).
  • Access to request details is strictly restricted to authorized CIO administrative personnel.

5. Data Retention & Disposal

Your personal data will be retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected or to satisfy statutory legal and municipal record requirements. Upon expiration of the retention period, digital records will be securely archived or anonymized in accordance with national archival standards.
